As featured in the Dallas News, a 13,917 square foot castle is for sale for $5,000,000. This luxury estate is located at 1161 La Mirada, Southlake, was built in 2010 and has eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms and one half-bathroom with plenty of room to host guests or to fit a large family. The home’s regal design offers imposing curb appeal, if you can peek behind the iron gates. From an aerial view, you can see that the 1.58-acre property was designed with privacy in mind. The structure of the home and the separate guest house surround the backyard entertaining areas and pool, and the property is lined with trees. See photos here.
I am not the listing agent. We are writing about this as a newsworthy blog post. The listing agent is Roxann Taylor of Engel Völkers Dallas-Fort Worth. If you are interested in this house and have yet to secure representation, please reach out to me.

The Southlake area was settled in the 1840s, but was not incorporated as Southlake until 1956, four years after the construction of Grapevine Lake was completed. Before incorporation, the settlements of Whites Chapel, Dove, Union Church and Jellico made up present day Southlake. The area remained rural until the completion of the DFW International Airport in the 1970s. Due to the close proximity to the airport, Southlake became a boom-burb throughout the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
As of 2019, the estimated population was roughly 32,376.
